12 Celebs With Misspelled Tattoos

There are few permanences in life, and with the advancement of technology, not even tattoos are forever anymore… Which is just as well for these celebrities, who have misspelled tattoos. Read on to find out how stars like Harry Styles, Rihanna, Ariana Grande, and more flubbed their own ink.

1. Ariana Grande

Ariana wanted a tattoo of her song, “7 Rings” on her palm in Japanese writing. Unfortunately, the singer did not realize that it directly translated to "shichirin," which is a small barbecue grill.

2. Jessie J

Jessie J meant to have the phrase “Don’t lose who you are in the blur of the stars,” tattooed on her side, but it actually reads, “Don’t loose who you are in the blur of the stars.”

3. Ed Sheeran

In an attempt to celebrate his single “Galway Girl,” Ed asked Saoirse Ronan — who stars in the song’s accompanying music video — to write out the title so it would be in her handwriting. But the “Game of Thrones” star wrote “Galway Grill,” instead, deliberating flubbing the song title — and Ed failed the catch the mistake in time.

4. Harry Styles

Back in 2012, Harry had the incorrect lyrics from Temper Trap’s “Sweet Disposition” inked on his arm. They read “won’t stop ‘till we surrender,” but it’s supposed to say, “won’t stop to surrender.”

5. Britney Spears

Britney wanted to have the word “mysterious” tattooed on her hip in Chinese characters, but it reportedly says “strange” instead.

6. Rihanna

Rihanna allegedly has two misspelled tattoos. While she reportedly wanted the words “rebellious flower” inked in French on her neck, the translation actually reads “flower rebel.” She also has the word “forgiveness” tattooed in Sanskrit on her side, but it’s reportedly spelled wrong.

7. Christina Aguilera

Christina initially wanted her then-husband’s initials tattooed on her arm in Hebrew, but it’s actually the number 12.

8. Coolio

Coolio has the word “juggalo” — a tribute to his tour mates Insane Clown Posse — misspelled as “jugalo” on his arm, though he claims the typo is intentional.

9. Hayden Panettiere

The tattoo on Hayden’s back reads “Vivere senza rimipianti,” which is meant to mean “live without regrets,” but the word should be spelled “rimpianti.”

10. David Beckham

The soccer star tattooed his wife’s name, Victoria, on his arm in Sanskrit but the word is misspelled and actually reads Vihctoria.

11. Ashley Greene

The Twilight actress has the phrase “life’s a dance” tattooed on her foot, but it’s missing an apostrophe.

12. Jennifer Lawrence

JLaw has an H2O tattoo on her hand, but the 2 was misplaced above the letters, instead of sitting below them.
