Priyanka Chopra Reveals What Made Her Want To Date Nick Jonas

Turns out, Priyanka Chopra had the same reaction to Nick Jonas' burgeoning solo career in the mid 2010s.

Speaking with Harper's BAZAAR for 24 Hours with Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the actress took viewers through her routine and admitted the exact moment that she knew she wanted to be with her now-husband. "The first thing I do in the morning is put on music," Chopra wrote in the blog. "My life has always been pretty musical, and now with Nick it's completely musical. I decided to date him after seeing the video for 'Close,' where his shirt comes off. So that song is my favorite."

As you might remember, "Close" was Jonas' 2016 collaboration with Tove Lo and its accompanying Tim Erem-directed music video featured the two stars in an empty airplane hanger. As the clip continues, the pair are pulled back and forth towards each other as their clothes slowly rip off.

Expect more from Chopra and Jonas when the pair use their wedding as inspiration for an upcoming unscripted series via Amazon. The retail and streaming giant recently announced that it has green lit an untitled dance competition that is inspired by the Indian pre-wedding tradition called the Sangeet. In case you weren’t aware, the Sangeet happens the night before the ceremony and brings both families together for an evening of performance and song.

"We re-watched the video of our Sangeet last week on our first anniversary, and the togetherness of our family and friends during this event still sparks the same warmth and excitement that it did just over a year ago at our wedding," Chopra said in a statement. "The Sangeet is a centuries-old Indian wedding tradition, that not only celebrates the union of two people, but also signifies the introduction and bonding of two families coming together in a marriage.”
