Nicki Minaj Shares Her Outrage Over George Floyd's Death: 'Be Angry'

Nicki Minaj has returned from her social media hiatus to speak her piece in the wake of the murder of George Floyd.

On Monday night (June 1), the Queen of Rap took to social media to sound off on the killing of Floyd. "When 4 black THUGS commit a crime, if 1 person commits murder, they ALL get charged & CONVICTED,” she captioned a sign with the names of unarmed black men and women who have been killed by the police. "When white THUGS/COPS KILL innocent black people, ALL 4 of them are responsible‼️‼️‼️ They all watched an unarmed man die and did nothing‼️ Why do they have different rules?????"

Minaj continued on by encouraging her 115 million followers to let their voices be heard at a time like this. "Be angry. White people have been using violence against us since the beginning of time. We didn't invent violence & looting. Will these officers actually get convicted?" she continued, adding, "Probably not. Let your voice be heard. Call & TEXT to be a part of these petitions. May Mr. Floyd Rest In Peace."

As you know, protests all around the world have been non-stop after the killing of Floyd, the Black man who saw former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin put his knee on his neck until he passed out and eventually passed away. Since the tragic murder, Chauvin has been fired and arrested on charges of third-degree murder and manslaughter. Click here for ways on how you can help fight back against racial injustice.
