Mom and I went on another one of our adventure walks. This time we took to the other side of the lake that we live near. Look what we spotted: an actual Charlie Brown tree! I love the fact that the people who own the property don't chop it down just because it's not as full as the other trees around.
Being her birthday has come and past I can NOW show you the card I made for my Mom! I didn't want to spoil the surprise by sharing it before then, just in case she spotted it here on my blog. I hope she looks at my blog ... Mom? LOL There's a story behind the theme of this card: both of us love sock monkeys :-)
We can hardly believe it ... our Mom got a riding lawn mower from my brother for her birthday! Wow! She's always used a push-mower and geez, she's amazing at doing that because although it's a good workout, it's not easy at all! Now she can get her yard done in no time too. She even tossed around the idea of having lawn mower drag races with my brother and my husband. I can totally see that happening :-)
Another beautiful flower my Mom picked from her yard. I have it right next to me here at my desk where I do the show each day. Lily of the Valley hands down are my favorite-smelling flower! Wasn't there something on Breaking Bad about it being poisonous or something though? I mean, I'm not going to eat it or anything like that but ... I'm going to have to read up on that!
Hey - look! It's another pic that has to do with my Mom (tee hee). We got her a mouth-watering basket from Edible Arrangements for her birthday! This picture doesn't do it justice but the watermelon slices were shaped like flowers and butterflies. Yum!
