Well, this is scary.
Katy Perry filed a temporary restraining order against an alleged stalker, according to E! News. The outlet obtained court documents filed by the 'Daisies' singer, which claim the stalker, a man named William Terry, "poses a credible threat" to Perry's safety.
In the court documents, Perry claims she "suffered significant and severe emotional and psychological distress" after a man allegedly trespassed on her property. Perry describes the man as a "complete stranger" who "is stalking me, and who threatened my family." Perry cites two incidents—one in early August and one in September—in which the man was able to gain access to her property and attempted to enter her home.
"In addition to his attempts to make physical entry to my home, Terry has also posted death threats against my partner Orlando Bloom, stating that he wants to snap his neck," Perry wrote in her filing. "Terry is a dangerous man and we are in need of an order of protection that prohibits him from coming into proximity of me, my partner, our children, our home, or any place we occupy."
A judge signed off on the protective order, which will require Terry to stay at least 100 yards away from Perry and her family, including Bloom's 9-year-old son Flynn, who he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr. The temporary restraining order will remain in effect until October 8.
